We are Linda and Tony Knight and live in Hampshire, UK. We have been researching our own family history for well over 20 years and have thousands of names on our family tree.

Free Transcriptions

The heart of this site is our online transcriptions, designed to help people searching for their family names. Most are our own work but we're extremely grateful for our team of volunteers who have donated their transcriptions and records for others to transcribe.

Professional Research

The Knightroots site and the transcriptions are our way of giving back to the genealogy community to recognise all of those people who have helped us. The site is entirely self funded with website design and maintenance paid for by ourselves and so we offer our professional research service to help offset the costs.
